So, the manuel valve that you installed makes it a fully manual valve body? Probably not since kick-down is still a factor.. but not clear on exactly what the kit does to the valve body 😒 in my case i am missing the kick down linkage and need to make pressure high permanently.. good video but couple things didn't get cleared up here....

Installed mine yesterday, hardest part was folding the bags. Get longer, beefier zip ties, it helps. Had to remove first wheel to tighten the air line. 2nd one I attached the line as soon as I got the top into the spring (much easier). Great video, thanks 😊

I'd stay away from propane as it introduces moisture with the flame. I'm sure using water/baking soda negates my concerns about moisture though.

Thick leading like this is a waste of time and money. There are two reasons for using lead. One is to prevent water reaching the paint and it's prep layers from a spot-welded seam and the other is to provide added strength to a thin edge that needs to be filled. Lead vapour and dust is highly toxic and so it should be used as little as possible. A spot welded seam should have a lead layer confined purely to the seam in order to seal it. Body filler should then be used to make up deficiencies in shape. This saves time, money and reduces breathing in toxic material to a minimum as high areas of lead can be finished with a body file, avoiding the dust that comes from sanding.

NOT A CHRYSLER. Check the Vehicle Identification Number, under “MAKE /CARLINE.” If the code is a “C”, it’s a Chrysler. But if it’s a “Y”, it is NOT. ITS AN IMPERIAL !! IMPERIAL was SPUN OFF from the Chrysler line , and became a SEPARATE MAKE and DIVISION in 1955…and REMAINED SO Through 1983 .

Was looking to see about all I'm a need, hmm that tin flux / butter you call it looks just like oatey #.05 or #.95. One is brownish acid flux and the other is grayish acid cleaning tinning flux. I've used both when I used to do new construction plumbing. Really liked the tinning flux. Only needed a super thin film of either and the soldier would flow like water. I got a couple of rust holes in a fender I'm bout to use . Ones on car now is sad shape. Figured that previous owner did a crappy bondo patch n paint n not 3 years later it's worse than before, I'll spot weld metal behind the panel n lead it smooth. Water tight both sides so it don't rust. Plus side I don't think the lead will soak up primer like bondo does.

Hi Ric - can I use a picture from your video (12:15) in an upcoming rust repair video I am making - I will put a link and or card to your video as it's being shown. I'd like to use it to show that lap welding and tapping the seam down is the correct way to repair rust damage - as opposed to butt welding, grinding off all of the weld, and attempting to finish w/o filler. Thanks - Jerry

At the start of the video I wondered how you used a whole container of butter that should last year, 4 or 5 years in The Body Shop eve😂ry day. Spread your butter around with a wet acid brush and put a thing coat on then. Apply your heat , it's not near as messy that butter will last years using it every day.
